About

193601606_5a3151c6a7.jpgI’m a blogger, aspiring screenwriter and actor currently living in Connecticut. I’ve studied acting at the Atlantic Theater Company in New York and have been writing screenplays for the last 10 years. While I’ve taken a 6 year hiatus as an actor, I intend to get the artistic ball rolling once again in the realm of independent films.

The purpose of this site is to bring exposure and hopefully production of some of my screenplays that I’ve worked on over the years. Yeah, I hear you, “Everyone has a screenplay.” And that may be true, but I have several that I believe to be very compelling and worth producing which is still the case for many, but not all.

The idea behind this blog will not only be to raise awareness of my own work but discuss the works of others in the business and those hoping to get in like myself. Maybe you’re trying to get a break too, if so, leave a comment.

I’m going to aim to post the first 10 pages of each of my scripts in either PDF format or something of that nature. You like them? Fine. You hate them? Fine.

I’m very much into independent cinema and this is where my writing leans. If you’re a director or producer of such fare then we should “do lunch.”

Enjoy!

    Greetings Ricardo,

Just thought I’d drop a line and take a shot. I’m contacting you from Substance Production, an indie film company out of Toronto. We were just wondering if you’d be into checking out our second feature BUMS, it played some festivals this summer and is getting some good buzz.

Figure if you are down we can send you a copy and you can check it out when you get the chance, if you dig it you can maybe write a few words about it, or a review. If not you can take it to the local Blockbuster and get 5 bucks credit…

Check out http://www.subprod.com to find out more about us and our films.

Look forward to hearing from you,
    Cheers,
    Brett
